Dr. Brant Rouse took over the dental practice of Dr. Tom Been at 206 East Downing Street in Tahlequah in May 2008. Dr. Brant Rouse received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2004. Brant is a native eastern Oklahoman having grown up on the south end of Lake Tenkiller graduating as salutatorian of his 1996 class at Vian Public Schools. Brant met his wife, Jennifer, while they were on college summer break in 1999. The couple wed in 2001 and had their first child Weston in 2004, second child Addison in 2006, and most recently Baylor in 2010. After attending dental school on the Indian Health Service Scholarship, Brant and Jennifer chose to make their home here in Tahlequah. Dr. Rouse spent two years practicing dentistry at the Wilma P. Mankiller Health Center in Stilwell, and in December 2005 was promoted to the Dental Clinic Supervisor at the Redbird Smith Health Center in Sallisaw. Dr. Rouse had been in the dental practice with Dr. Been since June 2006 one day per week. He is excited to practice full time in Tahlequah since May of 2008.
He is a member of the Pankey Institute Alumni, Spear Education, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the Oklahoma Dental Association. In addition to general dentistry continuing education, Dr. Rouse has kept abreast of the latest in dental techniques. Dr. Brant considers himself a Pankey Dentist. He has all but completed the essentials courses at the Pankey Institute. The focus of the Pankey education is providing excellent functional dental care that is properly designed to last many years. Dr. Rouse attends and contributes to a Spear Study Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma (www.speareducation.com). A small focus group of like minded dentists meet monthly to discuss cases and share knowledge. Dr. Rouse has attended two American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s annual scientific sessions, where world-renowned leaders and lecturers in cosmetic dentistry come together one week a year to share the latest knowledge (www.aacd.com). He also is super excited about the direction dental implants are taking dentistry. He has completed numerous courses with Nobel Biocare (the leader in dental implants) in San Antonio, Louisville, and Oklahoma City. Dr. Rouse is a one stop shop for most dental implant care, from the surgical placement to the final restoration (crown, bridge, full arch therapy).
